Every CTC tournament

Signing up for a CTC tournament means you agree to these rules. Team leaders make sure their whole roster has read them.

Part 1 of 3

Getting started

How to sign up and what happens before your first match.

Welcome to CTC

Everything you need to take part in CTC tournaments: how to sign up, the rules, and what happens when they are broken. Team leaders: you are responsible for making sure everyone on your roster has read this.

Our goal

CTC tournaments should be competitive and fun. We want feedback from every team and shape the format together with the community, the same way ctsfd.com works.

The CTC hosts keep the final say over all tournament decisions so that every event stays consistent, fair and stable.

Contact

Questions or problems? Contact a host on Discord.

  • CTC Host: @floofy__pancakes (discord.gg/GgmHb8JKVy)
  • CTC Host and sponsor (ctsfd.com): @doggolism (discord.gg/CmZdAyFY2Y)

Team leader and co-leader

The team leader represents the team. They are the hosts’ main contact for the roster, match scheduling and anything else official.

The co-leader has the same permissions and is the backup contact when the leader is unavailable. Hosts always try the leader first.

Joining a tournament

For team leaders. Everything happens on tanmk.tv; you get Discord DMs at each step.

  1. 1

    Get your roster ready

Every player must be a member of your team on tanmk.tv with their Roblox account linked, and must be in the CTC Discord server. The tournament page shows how many starters and subs are required.

  2. 2

Open the tournament page while signups are open and press Sign up. Pick your starters, then your subs, and accept the agreements. The name players show with is what casters will say, so keep it short and pronounceable.

  3. 3

    Every player accepts

Each player on your roster gets a notification and must accept the same agreements. If a player has not accepted when signups close, your whole application fails. Until then you can swap players freely.

  4. 4

    Wait for approval

Hosts review complete applications and accept or decline them. Accepted teams are seeded by rating.

  5. 5

    Arrange your match

When your match is set you get a private Discord channel with the other team leader and the hosts. Talk there; agree on time, map, tier and any custom rules in the match room on tanmk.tv. Only what is recorded there counts (see rule 3.1).

Temporary substitutes

For teams that cannot field enough rostered players for a match (rule 2.4).

  1. 1

    Check you are eligible

Only teams with a full roster (all starter and sub spots filled) can use a temporary substitute.

  2. 2

    Request the substitute

Submit the request from your team’s tournament page with the player’s name, Discord and Roblox username.

  3. 3

    Host and opponent approve

A host checks the player has been in your team’s Discord server for at least 15 days. The opposing team leader must also approve and can only refuse with a valid reason (rule 2.4c).

  4. 4

    Remember

Temporary substitutes are not eligible for prizes, and your team must return to its official roster as soon as possible.

Part 2 of 3

Rules

The numbered rules. Cite them by number, for example 2.4a.

Eligibility 1.1

1.1

Age requirement

Team strike

Every participant must be at least 13, or have verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. Hosts may ask for proof at any time. If it is not provided, the participant is removed, the team receives a strike, and the team may add a replacement.

Rosters 2.1–2.5

2.1

Team leader

Every team has a team leader. They handle all official communication and roster decisions.

2.2

Roster changes

Before signups close, leaders can change their roster freely. After a team is accepted, every change needs host approval, and new players must accept the agreements first. A player removed from a roster may rejoin it only once.

2.3

Switching teams

Once your team is accepted you cannot move to another team in the same tournament. Hosts may allow it in a real emergency.

2.4

Temporary substitutes

A team with a full roster that cannot field enough rostered players in a match may use temporary substitutes who are not on the roster.

2.4a

Approval

The team leader requests a temporary substitute with the player’s name, Discord and Roblox username. See the Temporary substitutes guide above.

2.4b

Eligibility

A host verifies the player has been in the team’s Discord server for at least 15 days.

2.4c

Restrictions

Temporary players cannot receive prizes, and the team returns to its official roster when it can. Hosts may refuse any temporary player suspected of ringing or exploiting.

2.5

Alt accounts

Each participant can be on one roster per tournament, with one Roblox account. Suspect an alt? Open a ticket with evidence; hosts investigate and decide.

Players confirmed to use alts to appear on several rosters are removed from all teams and banned from the tournament. Repeat offenders may be banned from future tournaments.

Scheduling and attendance 3.1–3.4

3.1

Arranging a match

Both team leaders agree on the match details in the match room. Anything not recorded there does not count.

3.1a

Time and date

If the leaders do not agree before the deadline, hosts set the time. A team that does not show at the host-set time falls under rule 3.4.

3.1b

Map

If the leaders do not agree on a map before the deadline, hosts pick one.

3.1c

Tier

If the leaders do not agree on a tier before the deadline, hosts pick one.

3.1d

Custom rules

Leaders may agree to change standard rules, for example weapon, part or item bans. A custom rule only counts once a host confirms it in the match room.

3.2

Postponing

A team that cannot field enough players may ask to postpone. Both leaders and a host must agree, and the match must be played within 7 days of the original date. Each team gets one postponement per tournament. Missing the rescheduled match is a forfeit (rule 3.4).

3.3

Equal player counts

With 5 or more players each, both teams play with the smaller team’s count (8v7 becomes 7v7). If one team has fewer than 5, the other benches down to 5 (8v4 becomes 5v4).

A team below 5 players gets a 10-minute grace period to find more. After that it plays with what it has. With 3 or fewer players after the grace period, it forfeits.

3.4

Forfeits

Team strike

Not showing up, having 3 or fewer players after the grace period, or refusing to play is a forfeit. The opponent gets the full win, no rounds are played. A team that forfeits twice in one tournament receives a strike.

In the match 4.1–4.6

4.1

Starting

Do not spawn until the host gives the signal.

4.2

Changing teams

Half strike

You may use !ct to join your assigned team before anyone spawns, once the host has announced the teams. After the match starts, changing teams without host instruction is not allowed.

4.3

Substitutions

Benched players can swap in between rounds, never while the player they replace is spawned.

4.4

Decorations

Half strike

Only clan decors, placed on the back and sides of the hull and turret. They must not cover weak spots or interfere with play.

4.5

Disconnects

If a player disconnects, the round continues and they may rejoin after it ends. A restart is only possible within the first minute of a round, if no damage was dealt and nobody was spotted. Tell a host right away; hosts decide whether to restart or forfeit.

4.6

Joining mid-match

Team strike

Nobody may join a running match: not rostered players, benched players or outsiders.

  • A player from a competing team joins: the match continues and hosts handle it. A second time in the same tournament is a full strike.
  • An unknown outsider joins: the match continues and hosts handle it.

Hosts decide the penalty based on the situation.

Fair play 5.1–5.10

5.1

No loopholes

Check the handbook before using any tool or tactic. Follow rules as intended; exploiting technicalities for an advantage is not allowed.

5.2

Cheating

Team strike

Aimbots, wallhacks, macros, exploits, glitches, collusion and ghosting are banned, as is disrupting tournament infrastructure. Hosts decide the penalty: player bans, disqualification, single or double strikes, or permanent removal.

5.3

Conduct

Half strike

Harassment or unsportsmanlike behaviour is penalised, from a warning up to a half strike.

5.4

Dead players stay silent

Once eliminated you cannot spectate for your team or give live information. You may share what you knew before you died. Breaking this counts as ghosting (rule 5.2). This is the most commonly broken rule.

5.5

Screen sharing

Every active player screen-shares their game with VDO.ninja, except on platforms where it does not work (console, mobile).

5.6

Streaming

You may stream your matches with at least a 3-minute delay.

5.7

Evidence

Record your matches. Accusations need video evidence, submitted in a ticket; claims without evidence are not reviewed. VDO.ninja does not save recordings.

5.8

Building

Build anywhere on the map, including rooftops and hills tanks cannot reach. Allowed parts: Barricade, Wall, Tank Trap, Platform, Ramp. The “67 Wall” is banned.

5.9

Helicopters at spawn

Helicopters may fly anywhere. After spawning, land safely and switch the engine off until the countdown ends.

5.10

Capturing

Points may only be captured from spots ground vehicles can reach. Bridging onto a roof is fine; landing a helicopter on a roof to capture is not.

Strikes and penalties 6.1–6.3

6.1

Strikes

Two strikes in one tournament means disqualification from that tournament.

6.2

Serious offences

Depending on severity, hosts may ban a team from future tournaments.

6.3

Prizes

A disqualified team’s prize moves to the next eligible team in the standings. Hosts may withhold or remove prize money for misconduct, including cases this handbook does not cover.

Part 3 of 3

Formats and modes

How tournament types and game modes work.

Tournament types

The tournament page says which type an event uses.

Freedom-based (FBT)

Before each match the two teams choose the game mode and map together, overseen by hosts. If they cannot agree within 5 days, hosts decide.

Map veto (MVT)

The game mode is fixed for every match. Teams veto maps from a pool, or hosts assign maps for variety.

Game modes

Classic

Three capture points, neutral at the start. No respawns and no materials. Eliminated players are out for the round (rule 5.4).

Win a round by eliminating every enemy or draining their tickets.

  • No down-tiering.
  • Crate, daily and unobtainable items only if both teams agree.
  • Only items currently in the game.
  • No duplicate parts within a team.
  • Support vehicles and helicopters are allowed and have one life.

Capture Chaos

One main capture point, neutral at the start. No respawns and no materials. Played as best of 12.

Win a round by fully capturing the objective or eliminating every enemy.

Same build rules as Classic.
